Consider Volunteering

Consider Volunteering

Due to the fact that this is a volunteer chorus, there are always things needing to be done in order to present the kinds of programs we do. We have a Board, and committees, so that the routine workload can be shared. The singers are wonderful at pitching in with moving chairs and risers for example. But there are some simple things that non-members could do to help. For example, for concerts we need ticket takers, helpers at the door, assistance with seating, parking, stairs and directions around each facility.

For more complex needs, we have only so many people within the chorus with experience and skills in fields like marketing and development. We know there are individuals among our loyal fans who have such skills. If you have the time and willingness to help the chorus grow and prosper, please consider offering your experience on a limited basis. If you can make yourself available for questions or advice via phone, or are willing to meet once or twice a year, informally, to provide some perspective, feedback, or suggestions you could be a valuable resource to preserve the health and vigor of this group.

Another constantly evolving need is for access to technical support. Databases are a particularly complicated management tool but so valuable in terms of providing good information for decision-making.
